DO…

Post consistently. Stick to a consistent amount you can deliver on a weekly basis, without sacrificing quality. For some that may be 3-4 posts on one account weekly, others could stretch to 2-3 posts daily on upwards of 5 platforms

DON’T overdo it, audience members can be quick to experience fatigue. Remind your followers you exist, but don’t be the main attraction within their feed.

DO…

Know your audience. Recognize what trends they follow, hashtags they interact with, and posts they engage with. Knowing this can help you create and curate content that your followers want to see.

DON’T lose your message and voice. In attempts to please your followers, don’t give up what makes your brand your own. Cater to them from a content point, not message and standards.

DO…

Interact with followers. Social media is a personal level of communication. Interacting with followers adds a human touch to your brand and increases brand loyalty. Brands can be regarded as cold and distant, while personalities are much warmer.

DON’T respond to everybody. While it is great to respond to users, there isn’t a need to respond to every person. Highlight positive engaging comments and respond to customer concerns instantly. Avoid spreading negativity and giving a platform to those trying to do harm.
